Things to Know: The One Lap of America features the fastest street legal cars in the country competing across the states hitting 9 race tracks, skid pads, and even a drag race! Oh, and the cars have to drive between each track across 11 states! Last year’s winners Douglas Wilkes and Grand-Am Champion Leh Keen plan to dominate yet again in their Top Speed Motorsports Nissan R35 GT-R.

What: Round #5 of the 2012 F1 Championship

Things to Know: The first four rounds of the 2012 F1 season have been incredibly exciting, seeing four different manufacturers win at each round. McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull have all seen the winner’s circle. Will round #5 be the first repeat manufacturer win of the season or will another team be the fifth? Lotus and Kimi Raikkonen have been showing very well in the past few rounds.

Things to Know: The support series for Formula 1, the GP2 series often feeds F1 it’s star drivers. Davide Valsecchi cleaned house winning 3 of 4 rounds in the last two rounds at Bahrain for DAMS. Will he be our next F1 star?

What: Round #3 of the 2012 ALMS Championship!

Things to Know: Last round’s race winners in Long Beach were the HPD ARX-03a of Lucas Luhr/Klaus Graf in P1, the Oreca FLM09 of Alex Popow/Ryan Dalziel in PC, the Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 of Oliver Gavin/Tommy Milner in GT, the HPD ARX-03b of Scott Tucker/Christophe Bouchut in P2, and finally the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Peter LeSaffre/Damien Faulkner in GTC.

Things to Know: Patrick Long and the TruSpeed/Privacy Star/Entrust Porsche 911 GT3 are coming off of a race win in GT at Round #3 while Andy Lee is coming off of a win in GTS class in the Best IT Chevrolet Camaro. The TC class and the brand new debut of the TCB class saw three races over the course of the weekend at Round #3. Race 1 winners were; Todd Lamb in the National Karting News/HPD Honda Civic Si in TC class and Jonathan Start in the Fiat USA/SRT/Carbotech Fiat 500 in TCB. Race 2 winners: Michael Cooper in the Mazdaspeed Mazda 3 in TC and Johnathan Start again in the Fiat USA/SRT/Carbotech Fiat 500 in TCB. Race 3 winners: Tristian Herbert in the HPA/RennGruppe/Brimtek/SG Racing Volkswagen GLI in TC and Sage Marie in the Honda Performance Development Honda Fit in TCB.

Things to Know: At round #3, Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor finally got a win under their belt in the SunTrust Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype in the Rolex DP field, while Assentado and Segal scored a Rolex GT class win in their FXDD Ferrari 458. In round #3 of the Continental Tire series, Longhi and Plumb scored a win for Rum Bum Racing in their Porsche Carrera in the GS class while Ellis and Jensen scored Insight Racing’s first win in the ST class with their BMW 128i.

What: Round #4 of the 2012 IRC Championships

Things to Know: 2011 FD Champion Daijiro Yoshihara has won at this track the past two years and a 2nd place finish in Long Beach at Round #1 shows that he is still a major competitor. Can he do it again or will Round #1 winner and runner up in the 2011 championship Justin Pawlak be able to take the crown from Dai?

Things to Know: Jeff Westphal and GST Motorsports have taken the overall event wins at every GTA race but one since the series started in 2011. They also took the overall win at this year’s opening round. Can anyone from the East Coast unseat the kings of time attack? Will Chris Rado and his 1,200 horsepower Scion tC be the first time attack car to break the 200mph barrier in competition?

What: S2K Challenge, Bimmer Challenge, and Open Track Weekend
